Engineering Inspector Main Tasks / Duties include; Alleviate assembly fail occurrences Inspect components coming in, checking they are correct to engineering drawings and checking tolerances using measurement equipment, for example checking measurements, checking threads, checking for burrs and cracks. Must be experienced in first inspection not 'check' inspection. Will be confident in working to mechanical engineering drawings to identify and problem solve first offs, batch inspections and final inspections Experience / Skills Required Experience in machined product inspecting paramount. Experience using Vernia's, Micrometers and Dial Test Indicators, as well as ring gauges and plug gauges. Knowledge of Liquid Penetration Inspection and Magnetic Particle Inspection required, although not necessarily experienced. Ability to read 1st and 3rd angle manufacturing drawings Experience of working in a machine shop manufacturing components.
