Civil Engineers - Nuclear Project of lead engineer role to work on major new build nuclear facilities in support of the multi billion pound UK decommissioning programme. The candidate will work as part of a 40 man team of civil and structural engineers and technicians. The role will involve leading a small team, client liaison and close interaction with engineers from other disciplines, particularly mechanical. The work typically involves major reinforced concrete and steel structures designed to resist seismic and extreme environment loads. Currently there is a particular need for the detailed steelwork design of large 400t+ modules to retrieve and process radioactive waste. Chartered Engineer (MICE or MIStructE) Heavy industrial design or bridge engineering experience essential, nuclear preferred.
