A good knowledge of rheology modifiers or experience in the personal care industry would be ideal. Your main duties will be to work on a number of polymer projects initially concentrating on synthetic rheology control/thickening based polymers. You will be expected to carry out experimental work to support new product development in the variety of polymer projects and develop an expertise in rheology modification. You may also be expected to carry out process optimisation and scale up for new products and to ensure the existing patent and intellectual property issues are considered prior to new product development.
